Our inspiration is to bring back those 40 – 50 years old good traditions to our civic life, when fresh and pure milk was easily available to most of the population. However, with the growing population and increasing urbanization, it gradually became difficult to keep cattle in their backyards.

Then came the era of processed, treated, standardized and packed milk marketed by large MNCs and big corporate giants which revolutionized the concept of purchase and consumption. This made convenient to a consumer as of ease in availability, improved shelf life & hygienic standards. However, during this process the key features of milk i.e. original taste, purity and freshness became a history. The research has proven that milk loses all its vital minerals and nutrients which nature has imbibed in it during the above said processing & treatment.

Further, due to scarcity of milk, the quality of traditional Gawaala milk deteriorated significantly. The malpractices of milk adulteration with toxic and expired chemicals, mixing milk with water & Ice and its transportation /distribution in extremely unhygienic conditions has led public at large to lose sight of the original qualities of this beautiful gift of ALLAH which has been cited as   سَآئِغاً خَالِصاً (Pure and Palatable) in Quran.

We at Fresh Life are committed to provide customers Pure, hygienic & Fresh milk. We train farmers as per international best practices to maintain cleanliness and hygienic standards in raising and milking cattle, so as to preserve the purity of milk and ensure that it is free from any kind of adulteration and mixing. Normally, two processing methods are adopted for milk processing

  1. Pasteurization:
    Pasteurization is the process of heating milk to destroy potentially harmful bacteria that are occasionally found in raw milk. The heat eliminates beneficial as well as harmful bacteria, yeasts, and molds. However, pasteurization does not make milk sterile. Therefore, it needs to be quickly cooled down after heating to keep any surviving bacteria from multiplying.

Pasteurization results in a slight loss of vitamins due to their sensitivity to heat but doesn’t have a substantial effect on milk’s nutritional value.

 

  1. Ultra Heat Treatment (UHT):

UHT Comprises of three sub components:

a) Homogenization

​Homogenization is the process of breaking fat globules of milk into smaller units. This is done by heating the milk and pumping it through narrow pipes at high pressure. The purpose of homogenization is to increase the shelf life of milk and to give it a richer taste and whiter color.

b) Pasteurization:

(As Explained Above)

 c) UHT Treatment:

Process of heating milk up to 105 degree centigrade and then immediately cooling it to 4 degree centigrade so that all kind of bacteria are eliminated in order to make milk germ free, before packing.

The main purpose of milk processing is to improve its shelf life, however, its processing (Pasteurization / UHT) destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamins, denatures fragile milk proteins, destroys Vitamin B12 and B6, kills beneficial bacteria and actually promotes pathogens. Further, the milk is standardized to a contain a certain fat % age (3.5 %) by extracting extra fat from natural raw milk during processing.

When kept at the optimal temperature of 2.2 – 3.3 degree centi-grade, you can expect fresh raw milk to last from 7 – 10 days. Higher temperatures allow the normally occurring lactobacilli (Bacteria) to get busy making lactic acid, which gives soured milk its characteristically tangy taste and reduces its shelf life.

Normally, two processing methods are adopted for milk processing

  1. Pasteurization:
    Pasteurization is the process of heating milk to destroy potentially harmful bacteria that are occasionally found in raw milk. The heat eliminates beneficial as well as harmful bacteria, yeasts, and molds. However, pasteurization does not make milk sterile. Therefore, it needs to be quickly cooled down after heating to keep any surviving bacteria from multiplying.

Pasteurization results in a slight loss of vitamins due to their sensitivity to heat but doesn’t have a substantial effect on milk’s nutritional value.

 

  1. Ultra Heat Treatment (UHT):

UHT Comprises of three sub components:

a) Homogenization

​Homogenization is the process of breaking fat globules of milk into smaller units. This is done by heating the milk and pumping it through narrow pipes at high pressure. The purpose of homogenization is to increase the shelf life of milk and to give it a richer taste and whiter color.

b) Pasteurization:

(As Explained Above)

 c) UHT Treatment:

Process of heating milk up to 105 degree centigrade and then immediately cooling it to 4 degree centigrade so that all kind of bacteria are eliminated in order to make milk germ free, before packing.

The main purpose of milk processing is to improve its shelf life, however, its processing (Pasteurization / UHT) destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamins, denatures fragile milk proteins, destroys Vitamin B12 and B6, kills beneficial bacteria and actually promotes pathogens. Further, the milk is standardized to a contain a certain fat % age (3.5 %) by extracting extra fat from natural raw milk during processing.
